I love being able to have control over respecting my health, through building healthy habits like exercising, getting good sleep, reading to fuel my mind, and one of my personal favorite habits: eating well! The Acai Bowl

You'll need:

- 1 tbsp acai powder

- 1 frozen banana

- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries

- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

- 1/2 cup almond milk

- 1/3 cup nonfat greek yogurt

- 1 tsp agave syrup (optional)

For toppings:

- 1/2 cup blueberries & strawberries

- 1 cut kiwi

- handful of granola

- handful of toasted coconut shavings

Take all ingredients for smoothie and blend in a blender. Sometimes the frozen ingredients can overweigh the liquid and can stop the blender from blending well. Feel free to add a splash more of almond milk to help with the consistency. What I love about acai bowls is that you can mix it up with different ingredients or toppings! I sometimes like to add some fresh raspberries or blackberries into the blender when I have them. If you want it to taste a little sweeter, you can add a teaspoon of agave syrup as well.

With toppings, it's really up to you what you want it to taste like! I'm hooked on these toasted coconut chips, and I love the crunchy-ness that granola gives to the bowl, so I throw those on the top. I used to get an acai bowl from Cafe Velo in Colorado Springs, and I always asked for kiwi on it, so I'm carrying on the tradition!  You can also add chia seeds, hemp seeds, or flax seeds depending on what nutrients you're looking for.

There you have it, the Acai Bowl! Super easy, right?! Be looking for future posts of more easy and healthy breakfast meal recipes :)
